Yellow courage
What is courage? What is this word that requires us to do extraordinary things in an ordinary world, who then recognises courage?
In the words of a friend of mine, there is a thin line between courage and stupidity.
Is it a stupid thing to jump into a rowdy crowd to rescue the source of their anger or is it courage. Is it courage to jump into a raging storm to rescue someone who has gone overboard or is it stupidity, is it courage to stay silent when your own self is tortured or is it stupidity after all you shall endure all that pain and spill your guts anyway... The list is endless of so called heroes who at times of great need stopped and said NO!! enough is enough.
The bible says "The Will of God never takes you where the Grace of God will not protect you." If this is true then i guess we can say God wills courage into us, to allow us to do all these extraordinary things. As long as you believe that your actions are directed by Him, then your fear acts to fuel the fire not quench it.
In every day life we are asked to stand up and be who we are and not allow others to dictate the terms of who we are. That we are all born equal in capacity but not in opportunity, and that by harnessing our capacities we can be oh so great and access these opportunities.
But herein lies the paradox, to be great, you must have courage.
Courage to believe in who you are, to believe in what you are doing, to believe in where you are going. To know that your actions are guided by the will of God, and that he shall protect you, all you have to do is be courageous enough to trust in HIM.
